Gemeenschapscentrum De Zeyp

De Zeyp is one of the twenty-two "gemeenschapscentra" (community centres) in Brussels. With strong local roots, De Zeyp is a social and cultural meeting-place that offers a wide range of social and cultural activities such as concerts, courses for adults and children, exhibitions, performances for children and creative workshops. Their action lines are: Communication, entertainment and services — Cultural participation, animation and spreading — Education and continuing education — Community development. They are open to a pluralistic dialogue with all other actors involved in the community matters and in raising the quality of life of the area. De Zeyp bases its actions on an environmental analysis and then works with networks from the local field. It is both a local network developer and operator. Its activity aims to increase the involvement of both local organisations and individual users and it is anchored in volunteer work.
