Kulturhusene i Danmark
Kulturhusene i Danmark is a nationwide NGO that unites Denmark’s diverse cultural houses, advocating for their common interests in politics, organisations, and among key stakeholders to ensure the best possible conditions for cultural centres across the country. It provides support and fosters a strong professional community through activities and annual meetings that focus on knowledge sharing, solidarity, and development.
Cultural houses take many different forms, and Kulturhusene i Danmark represents a wide range of cultural spaces and platforms. What unites them is their role in facilitating cultural activities, strengthening local communities, and promoting democratic participation as part of the broader cultural movement.
Since its founding in 1987, Kulturhusene i Danmark has embraced the continuous evolution of cultural houses, recognising their diverse operations, uses, and significance within their respective communities.
