GOK OLEŚNICA
Gminny Osrodek Kultury (GOK) Olesnica conducts education, animation, artistic and recreational activities. GOK Oleśnica operates in 25 cultural premises: 23 rural community cultural centres, a headquarter in Ligota Polska, and a library in Boguszyce. In this framework, 26 artistic groups are managed: 14 folk groups and 12 groups of children and youths. In addition to the organisation of numerous cultural events and festivals and to the coordination of regional partnerships and networks, GOK carries out several international partnership projects every year (mostly funded by EU Funds, Swiss Contribution projects, Visegrad Fund, Human Capital projects, Polish Ministry of Culture, National Center for Culture). These projects focuse on improving competences of local leaders, intercultural learning, overcoming prejudices, cooperating through events and staff member international trainings. GOK Oleśnica is networking on three levels: European (cooperation with ENCC), regional (through the Wandering Forum of Culture of Lower Silesia) and local (forum of local education in Oleśnica's community).
