THE ASSOCIATION OF LITHUANIAN CULTURAL CENTRES — the Country's largest community of cultural centres, representing their common interests and shaping Lithuanian cultural policy
The Association of Lithuanian Cultural Centres (ALCC) unites 96% of all Lithuanian cultural centres. For 19 years this organisation has been carrying out its purpose to unite cultural centres, to represent their needs and to ensure that their activities are accessible in Lithuania and abroad. Members of ALCC also take part in working groups, expert groups, funding programmes and prepares projects of various normative acts. They also take part in committees of the Lithuanian Association of Municipalities as well as participate in the election of the Lithuanian Council for Culture and the Ministry of Culture. ALCC cooperates closely with other cultural unions, institutions of higher education and organisations engaged in similar activities in Lithuania and abroad. They are part of the Baltic cooperation within the ENCC.
