SPAZJU KREATTIV — the heart of creativity in Malta!
Produced by Fondazzjoni Ċentru għall-Kreattività, Spazju Kreattiv is a programme of creative art and cultural events: the Spazju Kreattiv season. Their activities are based on three strategic pillars: artistic excellence, community outreach and internationalisation. Their home is in St James Cavalier, Valletta, a 16th century fort converted into the National Centre for Creativity. However, they also organise activities in other locations in Malta and Gozo in cooperation with the 10 public cultural organisations, thus covering the majority of the island.
As part of its core initiatives, the Spazju Kreattiv season includes an artist-in-residence programme, the only arthouse cinema programme in Malta, a range of exhibition spaces, a theatre, and the ŻiguŻajg programme (a programme of events tailored for children and families all year round). Other ventures by Fondazzjoni Kreattività include the national festivals ŻiguŻajg and VIVA - the Valletta International Visual Arts Festival.
