“National meeting on Cultural centres: networking and development models" is framed within the SNCC Project: Spanish Network of Cultural Centres, which also works on the creation of the Spanish Network of Cultural Centres
“National meeting on Cultural centres: networking and development models" meeting will include the participation of renowned speakers at national and international level such as Rafael Carazo Rubio (General Deputy Director for Promotion of Cultural Industries and Patronage, Directorate-General for Cultural Policy and Industries and Books, State Secretary of Culture), Mª Angeles García Cabello (State Federation of Associations of Cultural Managers, Spain -FEAGC-), Ivo Peeters (Chairman of the European Network of Cultural Centres, Belgium -ENCC-), Piotr Michalowski(Promoter of Wandering Cultural Forum "Lower Silesia" and Director of a House of Culture in Oleśnica, Poland), Juan Pablo Soler Fuster (Member of the Board of the publicly owned Spanish Network of Theatres, Auditoriums, Circuits and Festivals, Spain) or Sandy Fitzgerald (Cultural Manager, Ireland / Spain), among others. They will give the keys to analyse the possibilities that networking offers the cultural sector.
Aimed at professionals of centres and all kinds of cultural spaces, students from fields related to cultural management, and interested in developing projects in the field of cultural networks, both this meeting and the Spanish Network of Cultural Centres (in start-up phase right now) are envisaged as forums where participants can exchange management models, experiences and solutions to various problems, and to conceive cooperation projects with partners in Spain and across Europe.
During the meeting the act of foundation of the Spanish Network of Cultural Centres will be held, headed by the Councillorship of Employment, Tourism and Culture of the City of Murcia through the Puertas de Castilla Centre, with the participation of all attendees who wish to join this initiative. The Spanish Network of Cultural Centres will provide all members with a virtual space in whose creation we are currently working and where the visibility of our cultural centres will be promoted through various tools: a mapping of Spanish cultural centres belonging to the Network, a specific space to support the dissemination of activities organized by the cultural centres belonging to the Network, etc.
SNCC project, in which both actions are framed, is the result of networking and collaboration between different institutions and organizations: Association of Cultural Managers of the Region of Murcia (GERM), Town Hall of Murcia, European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC), and Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
Aims
- Creating a forum in which participants can practice networking and exchange knowledge and theoretical content, experiences, techniques, methodological and procedural models, etc.
- Increasing the ability of professionals in the cultural centres to experiment, innovate and cooperate.
- Reflecting on the possibilities that networking offers cultural centres.
- Exploring models of cooperation among cultural centres through analysis of best practices of networking at local, regional, national and international level.
- Building bridges among Spanish cultural centers and other European cultural centers and networks of European cultural centers.
