The ENCC presents Us, Our Action, Our People: Getting Fired Up, a series of working groups to be held in Brussels between 4-6 February, 2015.
This is the start of several ENCC action points from the 3-year programme supported by the Commission. We expect the participation of representatives of networks, culture centres and institutes from over 15 European states. The proceedings will conclude with a General Assembly on 6 February. The ENCC is celebrating its 20th anniversary with fresh energy, new members, new staff, and a new Board.
Theme
The theme is new initiatives: this is our opportunity to present the projects that are beginning or being renewed with the support of new-won funding from the Commission. Together we will present and discuss the innovative programs and plans that are going to be launched.
Come ready for the first ENCC meeting of the New Year with your fresh ideas and prepare to see new faces and meet old friends.
Program
The event will be three days of interrelated workshops intended to enable the exchange of ideas and generate fresh perspectives on a variety of new cultural projects. One day's workshops will be focused on audience development: the collection of data on audiences, delving into different models; the analysis of this information and its application in different circumstances. Other topics will be the challenges presented by working in rural areas, the possibilities for culture as a transformative tool and increased networking. In addition there will be discussions on engaging people with disabilities through various mediums, shared experiences and exchanging ideas.
As well as these professional discussion fora, there will be the chance to visit local culture centres and see the diverse activities and exhibitions presented.
