Bratislavské kultúrne a informačné stredisko (BKIS)
The Bratislava Cultural and Information Centre (BKIS) is a municipally funded organisation, established in 2004. Its core mission is to support civic initiatives and community activities within Bratislava, enhance access to culture across the city, promote decentralisation, and contribute to the development of public spaces.
BKIS’s flagship initiative is the Open Call – a transparent, non-financial support scheme for artists and cultural event organisers. Through this programme, applicants may request material and technical assistance, services, equipment, and promotional support.
In addition, BKIS is responsible for the overall programming and production of Bratislava’s major city festivals, including Bratislava City Days, the Bratislava Cultural Summer, the New Wine Festival, and the Bratislava Christmas celebrations.
