The Rosenfeld palace is an important monument built just in 1907. In September 2016, the gates of the Rosenfeld Palace opened again with an ambitious project going through the common boundaries of an artistic and a cultural life. It is inherently a multifunctional platform connecting its inhabitants and visitors of the city in the area of art. Its main tasks are cultural and educational activities, that are closely related to the current events and history. Its primary role is to support art through exhibitions and display contemporary artists. The basic program structure is composed of discussions, lectures on topics related to the city and its surroundings, concerts, exhibition activities focused on design, typography and contemporary art. The main activities also include commented tours and creative workshops. The main stage also serves for screenings, and during weekends it serves for inclusive cinema for kids with special needs. Then, a part of the Rosenfeld palace is the “Lida Mlichová’s Bookbinding Manufactory” which is a unique manufactory with a long family tradition. Another part of the Palace is the permanent exhibition of puppets from Žilina Puppet Theatre: “Puppets in the Attic”.
