Sophia Littkopf has been working in the field of art and culture for more than 20 years. Started out as a performing artist by singing in the opera of Leipzig before entering the managing and administrating sector of culture.
Recently, she managed the nonprofit art center HALLE 14 at the Leipzig Cotton Spinning Mill. She also works for the Cultural Foundation of the Freestate of Saxony as Industrial Cultural Heritage Officer and for the scholarship program „Denkzeit“. The Cultural Foundation of the Freestate of Saxony supports cultural growth by passing out project funding to cultural organisations that are based in Saxony as well as awarding saxon artists with scholarships and residencies abroad.
In past years, Mrs Littkopf was a founder and director of the radio play festival Leipziger Hörspielsommer and the International radio play competition in the framework of the Leipzig Book Fair. She also headed the department of network and audience development at HELLERAU - European Center for the Arts Dresden.
