Please note: the deadline to apply to Incubator 2021 is extended to 8 March 2021.
Incubator is one of our flagship capacity-building programmes. It supports mid-to-senior-levels professionals from cultural centres and other cultural organisations who want to develop a European cooperation project.

Incubator aims at strengthening individual cultural centres (especially our members, and members of our members), and encouraging them to consider ‘going European’. It's also a laboratory for innovation and transversal cooperation in our network, and for building the ENCC learning community at large.
This year, we'll select 9 projects to support.
ENCC members are the main targets of the programme, which is fully-funded for them. We also have a few slots for non-members to participate. Training costs are covered for non-member participants, though they will have to pay a small participation fee if they are selected, and will be responsible for travel costs. We have several priority topics for applications from outside the network. If you are not a member of the ENCC, your project will have more chances of being supported if it is related to one of the following topics:
- Diversity, equality, inclusion in culture and in cultural organisations
- Non-urban culture
- Creating a (local, regional or national) cultural network
- Cultural centres
What does the programme include?
- First feedback and mentoring on your project
- A 3-day intensive consultancy retreat, with one-on-one sessions with an expert on international cooperation projects, but also keynotes, debates, peer-to-peer sessions and study visits
- Support in identifying partners
- 1 session follow-up after the retreat and before the funding application deadline
When is the main event?
The Incubator consultancy retreat, which is an intensive workshop with customised support, is scheduled to happen at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), from 30 June to 2 July 2021. (See FAQ for questions related to travel and COVID-19 concerns.)
How to apply?
Please start by carefully reading this year's call for applications. This is a important document which includes information about calendar, funding programmes, selection, finances and more. Please refer to it when filling in the application form. Please also check our Incubator FAQ page, which has many other useful details.
If you fit the criteria and you think the programme is for you, please apply here before 8 March 2021 (midnight CET).
