In partnership with the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, our member the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation has carried out an online survey of Ukrainian creative entrepreneurs and practitioners.
The initiative was aimed at better understanding the main challenges the sector faces under martial law, with a view to laying out a way forward. The anonymous respondents were applicants to the Foundation's 2020-2022 granting scheme.
The data shows that the majority of the sector's employees and specialists have evacuated the country and found refuge in the European Union. A third of the respondents reported that the volume of product sales and services during the war has decreased by more than 90% compared to 2021.
