CULTURAL CENTRE "NIKOLA DJURKOVIC" KOTOR — expert in cultural heritage of Montenegro!
Based in the city of Kotor, on the Adriatic coast, the municipal cultural centre "Nikola Djurkovic" aims at organising and improving the cultural life of their community, organising traditional ethno-cultural manifestations, as well as enhancing creativity and the involvement of amateurs, members of cultural minorities and people with disabilities in the cultural life of their country. There are four separate organisational units within the cultural centre: a Theater, the City Gallery, Boka Cinema, the City library and reading room. Its activities are of public interest and include arranging cultural and artistic performances significant to the municipality (theater performances, literary evenings, art exhibitions, screenings, traditional, ethno-cultural etc.); promoting artistic works and other intellectual properties; and organising professional and scientific research in culture. Their most recognizable manifestations are Boka Night, Traditional Kotor Winter Carnival, Festival of Light, December rocks, and Kotor Children's Theater Festival. The cultural centre organises its events in partnership with local institutions and organisations (Kotor Art, Kotor Children's Theater Festival, Don Branko's Music Days, Sea Rock Festival, FIAT, Kotor Tourism Organisation) as well as with international organisations (see the list below).
