SOPHIA LITTKOPF — a German performing artist & cultural manager expert in cultural development!
Sophia Littkopf has been working in the field of art and culture for more than 20 years. Started out as a performing artist by singing in the opera of Leipzig before entering the managing and administrating sector of culture. She currently works for the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony as Fine Arts and Industrial Cultural Heritage Officer. The Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony supports cultural growth by passing out project funding to cultural organisations that are based in Saxony as well as awarding Saxon artists with scholarships and residencies abroad. In past years, Ms Littkopf managed the non-profit art centre HALLE 14 at the Leipzig Cotton Spinning Mill. She was also a founder and director of the radio play festival Leipziger Hörspielsommer and the International radio play competition in the framework of the Leipzig Book Fair. Last but not least, she headed the department of network and audience development at HELLERAU - European Centre for the Arts Dresden.
