ENCC has been invited to Riga by Latvian National Association of Cultural Centres to contribute to the discussion about the cooperation between the State, municipalities and non-governmental institutions in the area of developing cultural centres in the Baltic States.
The Forum brought together presidents and directors of national associations, representatives from Ministries of Culture and Cultural Heritage, municipal culture experts and directors of cultural centres. During the meeting all States representatives presented and discussed their national perspective with a focus on 3 topics: the normative regulation regarding the area of Cultural centers, the Baltic states cooperation and exchange of experience on the national Song Contest festival held every 4 years in all Baltic states.
Ivo Peeters, ENCC President was asked to bring the Belgian and European perspectives to the discussions. Thank you Latvian Assosiation of Cultural Centres and to all colleagues from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and we are looking forward to cooperating with you in the next activities.
