Incubator is one of our flagship capacity-building programmes. It supports mid-to-senior-levels professionals from cultural centres and other cultural organisations who want to develop a European cooperation project.
Please note that applications for the 2020 programme are now closed.
This fully-funded programme aims at strengthening individual cultural centres (especially our members, and members of our members), and encouraging them to consider ‘going European’. It's also a laboratory for innovation and transversal cooperation in our network, and for building the ENCC learning community at large.
Download the complete call for applications including programme calendar, financial information and more.
This year, we'll select 6 projects to support.
Although ENCC members are the main targets of the programme, we have a few slots for non-members to participate. Costs are also covered for these slots, though non-members will have to pay a small participation fee if they are selected. We have several priority topics for these outside applications. If you are not an ENCC member, your project will have more chances of being supported if it is related to one of the following topics:
- Diversity, equality, inclusion in culture and in cultural organisations
- Non-urban culture
- Creating a cultural network
- Cultural centres
What does the programme include?
- First feedback and mentoring on your project
- A 2-day intensive consultancy retreat, with one-on-one sessions with an expert on international cooperation projects
- Support in identifying partners
- 1 session follow-up after the retreat and before the funding application deadline
When is the main event?
The Incubator consultancy retreat, which is an intensive workshop with customised support, is on May 18-20 in Vienna, Austria.
