A future-gazing conversation between our researcher Anna Maria Ranczakowska and two socio-cultural professionals from the network.

In November 2023, in the context of our members' forum, we held a workshop aimed at mapping the roles and challenges socio-cultural centres face in promoting just transitions towards more sustainable societies.

In order to dig deeper into some of the issues that had emerged, our researcher Anna Maria Ranczakowska then had a more in-depth conversation with two of the workshop participants: Veronica Leandrez, from Asociación Internacional Educación Holística, and Mathilde Pierre, from ALTER EGO (X).

This article is the result of that conversation. It attempts at exploring socio-cultural centres' evolving identity as it emerges from within, rather than as an answer to pressures from the outside. Through this exploration, we aimed to uncover the pathways that these organisations can navigate in order to remain vital and relevant for their communities and the global stage in the transmodern world.
