Bundesverband Soziokultur (BVS)
German Association of Socioculture
Berlin, Germany
The Bundesverband Soziokultur (BVS) is a federal network of 14 regional working groups representing the interests of some 600 German socio-cultural centres and initiatives. BVS ensures information, education and support for its members.
Socio-cultural centres and initiatives play an essential role in Germany’s cultural life. One of BVS’s main objectives is to have this role recognised, as well as that of cultural workers.
The BVS provides access to digitised issues of SOZIOkultur and additional publications. Each issue had a thematic focus and was dedicated to current cultural policy issues.
