Homemade Culture

Active in Romania’s cultural scene since 2008 as lorgean theatre, Homemade Culture has organised cultural events in domestic spaces in Romania and abroad since 2012. It ran the “Playing with the Open House” campaign (2012–2014) and, since 2014, has produced HomeFest; the only cultural festival in Romania staged in houses and apartments. The organisation fosters close links between artists and audiences through cultural, artistic, and educational projects primarily in domestic or other informal settings. Over ten years, it has produced around 20 theatre and performance works, and in 2022–2025 participated in the Theatre in Palm platform funded by Creative Europe.
