SKVER is a non-profit civic association dedicated to digitising and preserving the cultural heritage of the Timok Valley region. Its mission includes educating citizens, particularly children and youth, on the importance of cultural preservation, organising initiatives to promote the digitisation of private archives, and providing training in professional digitisation standards for both public institution employees and the wider community. SKVER also advocates for improved practices in protecting cultural and historical artefacts in private collections, supports the digitisation of endangered and marginalised cultural heritage, and fosters awareness of the culture of remembrance.
