SKVER

SKVER is a non-profit civic association founded with the objective of digitizing and preserving the cultural heritage of the Timok Valley region. It has the following goals: to educate citizens, especially children and youth, about the importance of preserving and protecting cultural heritage; to organize various activities aimed at promoting the digitization of private archives; to provide training to public institution employees and citizens in professional standards of digitization; to publicly advocate changing habits with regards to the protection of cultural and historical artifacts in private collections; to support the digitization of the endangered and marginalized cultural heritage of ethnic minorities and groups; and to promote mindfulness regarding the culture of remembrance.
