Strengthening Mukana Muutoksissa Project's Accessibility Work in Practice

Children's Cultural Centre Pyykkitupa has been part of Mukana muutoksissa advocacy and development project with a purpose to make special needs families perspectives on inclusion visible and support decision-making. Art workshops were arranged where families were introduced to the cultural services through ceramics, animation, nature exploration and painting. Families had a direct influence to support tool purchases, communications and Vantaa's children's cultural services in general.

Children's Cultural Centre Pyykkitupa has been part of Mukana Muutoksissa advocacy and development project. The purpose of the project was to make the perspectives and experiences of people with disabilities and long-term illnesses, children and young people with neurodiversity and their families on inclusion and services visible and support decision-making.

Art workshops were arranged in Autumn and will be arranged in May 2024 in Children's Cultural Centre Pyykkitupa where families are introduced to the cultural services through ceramics, animation, nature exploration and painting.

Families have had a direct influence on Vantaa's children's cultural services accessibility in terms of support tool purchases (motor and operational support tools), means and ways communications and content of the activities.
