Community building in the cultural sector: interview with Niels Righolt
In the post-pandemic world where people are increasingly retreating to their comfort zones, and cultural consumption is becoming increasingly inward-facing, cultural organisations are dealing with a significant challenge: how to shift from merely attracting audiences to fostering actively engaged participants.
Patrick Kwasi, from our Austrian member IG Kultur, invites international cultural workers gathered in Vienna for the Make it Happen training offered by FULCRUM to share the most common problems they face in the field of community building. Then, he interviews Niels Righolt, director of CKI – Danish Centre for Arts & Interculture, on how to approach these issues.
FULCRUM: Skills Development for Future-proof Socio-cultural Centres is an EU-co-funded Erasmus+ project designed for the workers and volunteers of socio-cultural centres.
