Departing from the central role of tangible and intangible heritage in the green transition, highlighted in documents such as the European Heritage Green Paper, this practical guide summarise lessons learned through the HeritACT project to facilitate the integration of the New European Bauhaus values in the work of heritage practitioners as well as policy makers.

Drawing from case studies, stakeholders input, and interdisciplinary research, the guide offers adaptable strategies and concrete examples to inspire and facilitate the preservation, reuse, and activation of cultural heritage sites throughout Europe. The New European Bauhaus Compass (NEBC) has been used as a basis to structure these guidelines.

The document is authored by Mara D'Andrea, Martina Fraioli, and Michaela Charisi. Illustrations are by Clémence Garnier.
