Asociación Imágenes y Palabras

Imágenes y Palabras (Images & Words) is an independent cultural association that has been organising artistic and cultural activities in rural areas of Burgos, Spain, since 1999. Over the years, the association’s initiatives have served as an invitation to create both in thought and artistic expression, becoming a source of inspiration for artists and encouraging active engagement from the public.

Its programme includes a wide range of activities such as contemporary art exhibitions, poetry workshops, creative festivals, film screenings, etc., all centred around themes of culture and society.

In 2009, the association opened El Hacedor to the public, a creative space located in La Aldea del Portillo de Busto. The venue includes accommodation facilities, allowing artists to be hosted in residence.
