le ventre
Hegenheim, France
Le Ventre is a platform for contemporary and experimental art across all disciplines, as well as a space for reflection and discourse on current themes. Housed in a former synagogue in Hegenheim, France—near Basel, Switzerland, and the German border—it continues the site’s history of cross-border cultural exchange. The 18th-century building, historically embedded in its tri-national environment, features a pillar-free hall with remarkable acoustics, making it particularly suited for performances and site-specific artworks developed over time. Le Ventre seeks to collaborate with individuals and institutions engaged in, or aspiring to contribute to, the tri-national cultural landscape.
