The “Narodni Chitalishta” Foundation supports the development of the potential of community cultural centers in Bulgaria and envisions Bulgarian chitalishta as modern and inclusive hubs for culture, education, and social interaction. The Foundation works to ensure access to high-quality cultural, educational, and social services for all citizens, encourages civic engagement, and supports the adaptation of chitalishta to contemporary needs and challenges. Actively using digital technologies, chitalishta serve as spaces for dialogue and exchange of ideas, where people come together, create, and build active communities.
