Fondazione Polo del '900
Turin, Italy
Designed and supported by the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, the City of Turin, and the Piedmont Region, the Polo del ‘900 is the result of an urban regeneration project that, in 2016, returned to the citizens the Palaces of San Celso and San Daniele, built by Filippo Juvarra in the 1700s.
The Polo del ‘900 is a multifaceted space with a shared vision that places history and critical thinking at its centre. It houses 26 participating institutions, which serve as a reference point for historical, social, economic, and cultural research on the 20th century, as well as for safeguarding the values of resistance, democracy, and freedom. It provides spaces for events, exhibitions, and performances.
