kulturen in bewegung implements artistic and knowledge-based projects that reflect cultural, political, and social developments from global and post-migrant perspectives.
Unique at the intersection of art, culture, and development cooperation, we generate momentum in Austria’s cultural and educational sectors.

The focus is on artistic productions and networking among migrant, BIPoC, women, trans, and non-binary, as well as LGBTQIA+ artists and cultural professionals. Our projects make social and cultural dynamics visible, create diversity- and power-aware spaces for action, and promote structural openness in the cultural sector.

As the cultural department of the VIDC – Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation, we raise awareness of global issues within the Austrian civil society and serve as a facilitator between art, society, and development policy.
