Kulturni dom Cerknica (Notranjski Regijski Park)

Cultural Centre Cerknica is legally part of Notranjska Regional Park. The organisation aims to create an inspiring and collaborative environment for organising, sharing, and reflecting on artistic and cultural experiences.

Cultural Centre Cerknica organises around 350 events annually, including cultural programmes at the venue as well as environmentally focused events. Its core activity is to provide high-quality artistic content for local audiences, including an art-house cinema programme, concerts, theatre performances, and children’s theatre. At the same time, it actively collaborates with local artists and cultural organisations.

The centre is an active member of the national network of cultural centres, KUDUS, as well as the Slovenian art cinema network. Its ambition is to become a recognised cultural institution known for high-quality artistic programming, while actively connecting and engaging the local community. It also aims to develop initiatives for opening new venues dedicated to cultural and artistic expression in the region.

A key focus is the integration of the exceptional natural landscape of Notranjska Regional Park into its events, strengthening the environmental identity of the cultural programmes organised by Cultural Centre Cerknica.
