Miejski Dom Kultury in Radomsku
The Municipal Cultural Centre in Radomsko (MDK) is a cultural institution founded by the local government of the City of Radomsko. For 50 years, it has been an important artistic, cultural and entertainment centre for the city and the region. It is the regional stage of the S. Jaracz Theatre from Lodz where both professional and amateur plays are presented; and it also offers the only digital cinema theatre in the city. MDK is the organiser of numerous concerts, exhibitions, artistic workshops, and offers 25 different classes including theatre, dance, art and vocal sections. Through innovative projects such as “Radomsko, newly created”, “Small Grants MDK”, “Animation about the history of Radomsko”, MDK is a platform increasing the presence of culture in local community. Besides, MDK initiated national festival devoted to the lifetime work of the Radomsko born Rozewicz Brothers - Rozewicz Open Festival. MDK was also the organiser of the Culture Congress in Radomsko in 2013 and the co-organiser with the National Centre of Culture of the “Congress of Small and Medium Cities” in 2014. Finally, the institution is a strategic partner of the Museum of Art in Lodz in creating the program “Very Young Culture”, co-organising the International Festival of Sacred Music Gaude Mater and many other cultural projects in the Łodz Voivodeship (region) in partnership with the Lodz Cultural Centre.
