Motorhane Kültür Ağı

Motorhane Cultural Hub, is a community-driven cultural space in Merzifon. It is being developed by a local volunteer network through the transformation of a former electricity plant—known locally as the “Motorhane”—into an open platform for culture and creativity. The initiative aims to expand access to culture in a place where cultural infrastructure is limited, while creating opportunities for artists, young people, and local residents to meet, collaborate, and produce together. Motorhane works to connect its local network with the wider civil society ecosystem, building new partnerships and opening space for cultural production and exchange beyond the town itself. Through public events, Motorhane strengthens local cultural life while demonstrating how collective effort can turn an abandoned industrial site into a vibrant cultural commons.
