The event is intended to be a two-part festival, with the afternoon of October 3 organized at Parc de Couriot and the evening at Le Clapier concert hall. Our goal is to: promote intercultural exchange and positive interaction in the targeted neighborhood. The city of Saint-Etienne needs this type of event, and the city’s policy is to direct its funding toward supporting them.
"2TheSainté" will be an urban/hip-hop themed event held in the priority neighborhood of Tarentaize-Beaubrun-Couriot, in Saint-Etienne. This project was born out of several factors. Urban and hip-hop culture are very present in France, which is often considered abroad to be the capital of this movement. The most listened to music in France today is rap, which is closely linked to urban/hip-hop culture. Walking around Saint-Étienne, you notice that rap music is the most popular genre and that the city is rich in elements linked to urban culture (street art, urban fashion, etc.). At the same time, the program will be partly dedicated to Italian artists and participants . In collaboration with my main partners, the Italian event organizing group Urbair, we will create a mix of cultures and arts to promote cultural and social inclusion and sharing. The event will take place on October 3, 2026, and will be divided into two distinct parts. In the afternoon, in the large space of the Parc de Couriot, there will be workshops for discovering and practicing urban culture, with breakdance battles, graffiti workshops, stands selling records or urban clothing, and much more!
