Aktiv-ist*innen is a three-day self-organized workshop and networking space in Innsbruck focused on political education and grassroots organizing. Participants share practical knowledge on topics such as demonstration organizing, legal rights, consensus-based decision making, digital security, resilience, and awareness practices. The project creates an accessible learning environment for both new and experienced activists and strengthens democratic participation, collective action, and solidarity across social justice movements.
Aktiv-ist*innen is a three-day gathering in Innsbruck dedicated to civic engagement, mutual learning, and community building. The event brings together people who want to work toward a more just and democratic society. Through interactive sessions, discussions, and collaborative activities, attendees gain practical knowledge on topics such as organizing demonstrations, understanding legal frameworks and police interaction, consensus-based decision-making, digital security, resilience in challenging political contexts, and awareness practices that help create inclusive spaces. The program follows a participatory approach: many sessions are proposed and facilitated by those attending. This encourages exchange between people with different experiences and backgrounds and highlights practical knowledge developed within social movements. The gathering is organized collectively and emphasizes cooperation, accessibility, and shared responsibility. Participation is donation-based so that financial situations do not become a barrier. In addition to developing useful skills, the initiative aims to strengthen connections between individuals and groups engaged in social change.
