The project “Bridging Voices” aims to reduce social polarization and strengthen social cohesion by creating safe dialogue spaces for young people from diverse communities. In areas affected by conflict and displacement, mistrust and social divisions remain major challenges. The project will bring youth together through facilitated discussions and collaborative activities that encourage listening, empathy, and mutual understanding. By providing opportunities to exchange perspectives and address shared concerns, the initiative empowers young people to build trust, promote peaceful coexistence.
“Bridging Voices” is a community-based initiative promoting dialogue and social cohesion among young people in contexts affected by social polarisation. In communities affected by conflict and displacement, mistrust between groups can persist long after violence ends, and limited interaction often reinforces stereotypes. The project creates structured dialogue spaces for youth aged 18–30, including displaced persons, returnees, and host community members, to meet, exchange perspectives, and collaborate. Activities include dialogue workshops on active listening and respectful communication, facilitated circles discussing community issues, storytelling and cultural exchange, and community events to share insights. Participants develop skills to navigate disagreements, engage in constructive conversations, and build relationships across divides, acting as dialogue ambassadors to foster lasting social cohesion and resilient communities.
