The project focuses on revitalizing neglected urban spaces through community participation, creativity, and artistic expression. Citizens, local artists, and volunteers will identify abandoned, underused, or poorly maintained areas and transform them into functional, culturally and socially active spaces. Activities include cleaning and organizing areas, improving green spaces, creating murals, small visual and multimedia exhibitions, hanging photographs, displaying poems and short texts, as well as hosting performances, workshops, public events, and community gatherings. Participants will exchange creative works inspired by the city, discuss ideas to improve public spaces, plan future maintenance, and involve youth and schools in the process. The project will culminate in a public exhibition showing “before and after” photographs, clearly demonstrating the tangible impact of collective action. The initiative promotes civic engagement, cultural dialogue, collaboration with local actors, shared responsibility, long-term community ownership of urban spaces, and shows how neglected areas can become vibrant places of creative, social, and cultural interaction.
