The project brings together 80 young people from across BiH for an inspirational talk and dialogue session with influential public figures. Through storytelling, exchange, and networking, the initiative encourages young people to reflect on social polarization, challenge stereotypes, and develop critical thinking and active-listening skills. By creating a safe space for dialogue, the initiative strengthens empathy, mutual understanding, and young people's capacity to contribute to more constructive and inclusive community dialogue.
The Empowering Youth: Dialogue Across Divides project aims to empower young people across political, social, and cultural dimensions, strengthening cultural identity and fostering dialogue in BiH. The primary target group for this project is young people aged 16–25 primarily from rural areas and small local communities across BiH who rarely meet in everyday life. This project represents a complementary component of a broader initiative that SHL is currently implementing. The project will enrich this initiative by providing additional educational and inspirational content, offering participants new perspectives and learning experiences alongside the main event and creating a space where dialogue replaces stereotypes and shared experiences replace division. The project foresees the implementation of the following activities An inspirational two-hour talk and networking session with influential public figures from BiH who serve as role models and motivate young people to engage in initiatives that contribute to the common good. Divided into mixed teams, young people will participate in structured dialogue sessions on polarization and practical steps to reduce divisions.
