GREEN STEPS is a long-term artistic and community-driven initiative by Teatro Metaphora that promotes environmental awareness, circular economy, and active citizenship through culture and creativity. Since 2015, the project has engaged thousands of young people and the wider community in hands-on ecological action, transforming public spaces into platforms for dialogue, expression, and collective responsibility. Through street art installations made from reused materials, upcycling workshops, environmental campaigns, clean-up actions, lectures, film discussions, and nature-based activities, GREEN STEPS connects artistic creation with climate awareness. Participants explore sustainable lifestyles while developing creativity, teamwork, and civic engagement skills. The project places strong emphasis on youth participation, empowering young people to become ambassadors of environmental responsibility in their communities. By turning waste into art and ideas into action, GREEN STEPS demonstrates how culture can inspire behavioral change and strengthen community bonds.
