HerStory 360 – Empowering Young Women and Youth for Participation and Employment
NGO Institute for Strategic Support
Kosovo
HerStory 360 empowers young women and youth struggling to enter the labor market after graduation by combining art, storytelling, digital tools, and mentoring. The project fosters civic engagement, develops professional, creative, and digital skills, and raises awareness of gender equality and social inclusion challenges. Participants gain visibility, confidence, and practical experience, while connecting with mentors, local communities, and cultural networks. By turning personal stories into shared creative expressions, the initiative encourages youth to actively shape their communities.
HerStory 360 is a socio-cultural initiative that supports young women and youth facing barriers to employment, professional development, and civic participation. Through interactive workshops in storytelling, digital media, creative arts, and professional skills training, participants develop practical, creative, and civic competencies that prepare them for both the labor market and active community engagement.
A dedicated online platform allows participants to share their creative outputs, build networks with mentors, local stakeholders, and potential employers, and engage in participatory decision-making processes within their communities. Public events, exhibitions, and interactive installations amplify their voices, showcase their talents, and foster intergenerational dialogue, while promoting gender equality and social inclusion.
The project not only empowers individuals but also strengthens local networks and community capacities, encouraging collaboration between cultural actors, NGOs, and civic organizations. By integrating artistic expression, digital engagement, and civic participation, HerStory 360 creates innovative, sustainable methodologies that can be scaled.
