“Right to Move” brings together young people, especially students, through contemporary circus to explore and express their experiences and position in society. The project emerges in the context of growing youth civic engagement and their need for dialogue and support. Through workshops, collaborative creation of a performance, and public presentations, contemporary circus becomes a space for dialogue between young people and the community, fostering civic participation, solidarity, and social dialogue.
"Right to Move" is a project that uses contemporary circus as an artistic and social tool to empower young people and foster public dialogue about their position in society. The project brings together young people aged 18 to 30, primarily students from diverse educational backgrounds, who explore personal experiences, feelings, and social issues that concern them through contemporary circus workshops. The project emerges in the context of increasing youth civic engagement and their need for social dialogue and creative expression. Through a collaborative creative process, participants develop a circus performance based on trust, cooperation, and collective expression. The performance is staged in Novi Sad to bring contemporary circus closer to local audiences. Following the performance, discussions with the audience open space for sharing experiences and dialogue between young participants, artists, and the local community. The project has already begun with a public call and participant selection, and workshops are ongoing, turning contemporary circus into a platform for participation, cultural empowerment, and civic dialogue.
