SALONPARCOURS is a performative city walk that transforms private homes and hidden urban spaces into temporary venues for contemporary art, performance and dialogue. By bringing artists, residents and audiences together in intimate settings, the project creates spaces for encounter, participation and exchange across social and cultural boundaries. In times of growing polarisation, it fosters civic dialogue and shared cultural experiences in the everyday spaces of the city.
SALONPARCOURS is a participatory art project that activates the city as a shared space for artistic experience and civic dialogue. The format combines three elements: a guided parcours through public space, temporary salons hosted in private or hidden urban locations, and open discussions where all participants are invited to share perspectives and engage in dialogue.
As audiences move together through the neighbourhood, the walk connects artistic interventions with the histories and social realities of the places encountered. Along the route, residents and hosts open homes, studios and other unexpected urban spaces as temporary salons where performances, installations and conversations take place in an intimate setting.
The project brings artists, citizens and visitors into direct encounter and encourages reflection on the urban environment and its social dynamics. By linking movement through the city with participatory artistic experiences and open dialogue, the Wiener Salonparcours creates accessible spaces for cultural participation, civic exchange and shared reflection in everyday urban environments.
