Talk the Walk

This project is the hands on part of our "Still Watching?" project, a KA54 Erasmus+ project. While the world feels stuck in endless conflict and democratic talk seems to be failing, we are giving young people a mic to actually fix things. We built an audio lab where locals use role play to tackle the real social friction they see every day. It matters because we are making democracy something people can actually hear and feel. We are using radical empathy to break down the walls of polarization and giving this generation a real tool to turn huge global tensions into constructive local action.
The project works in three steps starting with our Simulation Arenas which are workshops where young people map out the real tensions they see in their lives today as we focus on the big issues like the impact of global war on European unity or the local disputes that divide our national politic. These participants turn these conflicts into scripts where the main goal is to find a creative way out of the deadlock rather than just repeating the same old arguments because we want to move from passive talk to active diplomacy. Next we move into the Podcast Production phase to record these scenarios in a studio setting where we bring together young people from different backgrounds to swap roles and record these simulated negotiations. Every episode needs to reach a consensus that the participants build together during the recording session which proves that dialogue can actually lead to a result and not just more noise. Finally we take the sound directly to the streets by placing QR codes in schools and youth centers so the whole community can listen to these episodes right where they live.
